Bombings continue to fall in Jabel Marra and the UN has yet to make an assessment since violence first broke out weeks ago. These elections are not and cannot be free and fair. Yet, our own government continues to support elections as an important step towards a new future for Sudan. A new future with the same old leader who has committed mass atrocities across the Sudan?

Today is Day 100 of the Obama Administration. He HAS NOT done enough to bring peace to the region of Darfur. In fact, the situation on the ground for every man, woman, and child has gotten worse. We all knew the threats, but failed to prepare for the ICC arrest warrant. Food will begin to run out for the 1.1 million who received their last monthly rations at the beginning of this month. Fuel for water pumps was stolen, and chlorine tablets will soon run out. Diarrhea, Meningitis, Polio, Malaria - killers in this region. Compared to Day 1 of the Obama Administration, Darfur is worse off.
